What does being a Gold Standard Reviewer mean?
Being a Gold Standard Reviewer means you are a member of our carefully selected, expert pool of reviewers.
This title is an additional badge to your Black Box membership that gives you an opportunity to receive products to trial and review.
What is the cost?
Being a Gold Standard Reviewer is completely free of cost. We only ask that you provide us with genuine, honest reviews in exchange for the products you trial.
I have very strict preferences, I don't think I will be the best fit.
Similar to our Black Box campaigns, there is a brand profiling criteria for every product included in the Black Box Reviews box. So, we will only send you products that we know you will use/consume and enjoy.
HOW TO BECOME A GOLD STANDARD REVIEWER
1. If you haven't already, create a
Black Box Reviews profile.
If you already have an existing Black Box Reviews profile, please skip this step.
As a part of your membership, you will need to create a Black Box Reviews profile. This is completely separate from your Black Box profile and includes an e-mail address (which must be the same one used in your Black Box profile) and password.
You will also need to provide the following information: a unique username, age range, gender and location. This will be displayed on your profile when you leave a review. To find out more about our Privacy policies click here.

2. Make sure your Black Box profile is up to date.
Similar to our Black Box campaigns, the selection process for the Black Box Reviews boxes requires that you meet the brand profiling criteria.
To increase your chances of being selected, you must ensure the information in your profile is up to date. This includes your delivery address, preferences, household income, etc.
3. Sit back, relax and we will let you know when product is on the way!
Once you have completed the above steps, all you need to do is wait for a Black Box Reviews campaign that matches your profile. You will receive a Black Box filled with products to trial. From there you just need to write a comprehensive and original product review to keep you eligible for future Black Box Reviews campaigns.
ONLINE REVIEWS GUIDELINES
Here’s a few things to take a note of once you’ve received your Black Box Reviews products:
– For each brand, you will receive a product brief to ensure you are well-informed on the attributes of the product you are trialling.
– We urge you to write an original product review. Please provide a detailed account of your experience of the product including the pros and cons.
– You must leave a star rating together with your original product review
– Finally, similar to our Black Box campaigns, being selected is all dependent on how closely your profile matches the brand profiling criteria. So while you are a member, you may not receive all boxes.
