We didn’t like the taste of the bread. Just tasted wrong. Eatable but we didn’t love it enough to buy it again.

We did not like much smoked flavour – it was quite strong. Very unusual. We prefer plain bread or bread with different types of seeds.

We did not feel that there was a chilli taste to this bread at all. Due to the close use-by-date when we received this loaf, we froze it and took it out as we required it. It was a lovely texture, but we were a bit disappointed that there was no real chilli taste to this. We had envisaged having a nice savoury snack with a little bit of a ‘bite’, but it wasn’t there. I’d recommend this product but would advise that it is very, very mild in flavour.

We did not enjoy this bread, but we do not like spicy food in our house. I imagine those people who do enjoy spicy foods would like this for a sandwich bread as it will add extra flavour.

We did not enjoy this bread as a breakfast, was a weird flavour to pair with your average breakfast spreads but not to bad as a savoury sandwich

We did like the bread, but since use bread for sweet toppings also it just doesn’t make sense to buy one with such a savoury flavour.

We change up our bread frequently, with a few favourites that we buy more often than others. The Ploughman range is pretty good in general. I usually like anything with chilli in, but i couldn’t get my head around it in this bread. I had a piece of toast with jam on it..and the chilli was strange. Yet having a toasted sandwich with cheese & ham, it was fine. So it depends what you’re doing with the bread. It was also good, just butter on it. I’m undecided if we’ll get it again, it felt like you had to think about the toppings too much. So wouldn’t be versatile for the week of using bread.
