We used to feed our dogs Champ (Meat Lovers) fifteen years ago, then moved to raw feeding. I now have the last two dogs very elderly and one (15) had a bout of acute pancreatitis. We moved to a very expensive prescription food which they love, but I grabbed a tin of Champ after running out over the weekend. Two inches of meat aspic (broth!) at the top – as a gut health expert I couldn’t believe my luck, and then low-fat organ meats through the rest of the tin. This stuff is a wonderful breakfast for both my old chaps, they absolutely love it. If I was making my own food I couldn’t do better.
+ PROS: Loaded with aspic (broth jelly), lumps of organ meat. My dogs love this stuff.
- CONS:Can't think of any. I can't go back to raw feeding as my old chaps just don't cope.

I bought 2 cans of Champ dog food for my dog the big 1.15 kg cans.
One can is enough for 3 meals. Today i got just over one meal from the can because it was full of jelly!!!!
I will complain to my local supermarket to have them removed from their shelves. My neighbour has had the same problem.

I’m absolutely disgusted with champ tinned dog meat at the moment. Just about 2 inches of the the top it’s full a fat Then after that you can empty out of all the liquid with that so that you really got any half can of dog food . It has been like this for the last couple of months I won’t be buying it again. Pedigree I tried last week perfect no fat no liquid just pure dog meat

Opening the tin
- CONS:Hi
My rescue dog [Border Collie/Staffy x] likes the product, but I found it a battle to open & had to use 2 different tin openers.
Not ideal when not long out of hospital.
