Church Road Mcdonald Series Cabernet Sauvignon

Tom mcdonald (1907-1987) devoted his lifetime to producing outstanding new zealand wines at the site of the current church road winery. Celebrating tom’s vision and entrepreneurial spirit, church road mcdonald series wines are complex, textural and full of character. The church road mcdonald series cabernet sauvignon displays fully the powerful yet taught palate structure and wonderful aromatics and depth of fruit typical of great cabernet. The fruit for this wine was grown predominantly on our redstone vineyard. The warm meso-climate in this vineyard and light stony soil provides low crops of concentrated, fully ripe fragrant fruit that produces classically-structured wines with power, elegance, fragrance and finesse.
