Five generations and 167 years later yalumba is australasia’s most historic family owned winery. Yalumba, aboriginal for “the land all around” is fiercely independent, extremely progressive and committed to looking after the land and its people. One of the worlds most sustainably certified companies and a winery with the only working cooperage in the southern hemisphere.
There have been over 50 vintages of yalumba’s ‘the signature’, and somehow the quality of this already established classic seems to keep getting better. Explosively aromatic, gloriously textured on the palate, with nuanced cedar & bramble notes redolent of the aging in the hand-made oak barrels made on site at yalumba’s cooperage. Full-bodied but very graceful & silken. An exceedingly pleasurable wine experience not to be missed. Vegan friendly.
