This hearty mozzarella chicken recipe is perfect for feeding a big family or having friends over for a nice dinner. What’s more, it’s ready in just half an hour!
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning (or to make at home simply combine a tablespoon of each dried seasonings including: basil, oregano, rosemary, parsley, thyme, chili flakes and garlic powder)
In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, black pepper and salt. Spread over chicken breasts, making sure to season each side evenly.

In a large skillet, heat oil on medium high heat. Once hot, place chicken breast in a single layer in the skillet and cook in batches if the skillet is too crowded.

Brown the chicken by cooking it for 3-4 minutes on each side before flipping. Once done, remove from skillet and set aside.

Using the same skillet, add your fresh garlic and stir for 30 seconds.

Add in the canned tomatoes and the italian seasoning. Reduce the heat to medium and allow to come to a simmer for 5 minutes. Remember to continue stirring and scraping the bottom of the pan to release any bits.

Stir in parmesan cheese and cream until well combined. Add the chicken back into the skillet and top with fresh basil. Cover and let simmer for 3-5 minutes or until everything is heated through.

Garnish with extra basil and serve over pasta or roasted vegetables
