Ingredients
- 8 slices Tip Top Supersoft High Fibre White Toast bread
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced in half
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cream
- ¼ cup strawberry jam
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Butter, for greasing the baking dish
Cooking Method
Preheat oven to 170°C and grease baking dish with melted butter.
Cut bread into cube-sized pieces and place half in the baking dish. Top with half of the sliced strawberries. Repeat the same process with the remaining bread and strawberries.
In a bowl beat eggs, milk, cream, jam, sugar vanilla and sugar together until well-combined.
Pour the mixture over the bread and strawberries. Lightly press down with a spatula until the bread has absorbed the mixture.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until golden.
Serve with a dollop of cream and fresh strawberries.
