Juicy peaches, layered with zesty lemon jelly, soft spongy cake and delicious and creamy custard – just a few of the reasons why this Christmas dessert is a staple on every home this season. Make it with Wattie’s Peaches for a moreish treat that’s sure to be a conversation starter with guests.

Ingredients
- 1 tin of Wattie’s Sliced No Sugar Added Peaches (use 2 if you love peaches)
- 1 packet lemon jelly crystals
- 1 1/2 premade trifle sponge cakes, cut into small cubes
- 1 L chilled custard
- 150 ml cream, whipped
- Slivered almonds
Instructions

In a glass jug, make the jelly according to the packet. Leave at room temperature to cool for about 30 minutes.

In a nice glass bowl, place down a layer of the cubed sponge cake.

Arrange some peach slices around the edges, and on the cake.

Pour over some of the jelly, then custard.

Continue to layer sponge, peaches, jelly, and custard.

Finish with a layer of whipped cream and slivered almonds.

Cover and chill until serving.
